Sports Betting Rules

Scope and Definitions

These Sports Betting Rules govern all wagers placed with Xhjili on eligible sporting events. For purposes of these rules, the following terms apply: "Official Result" means the outcome as determined by the event's governing body and published on the event's official website or other official publication designated by the governing body; "Event" means a scheduled contest or match within a sport; "Wager" means any bet placed on an Event in accordance with these Rules; "Action" refers to a wager that remains valid under these Rules; "No Action" means a refunded wager due to a rule condition such as line errors or event cancellation. These Rules apply to all sports unless a specific provision states otherwise.

Timing, Action and Official Status

Wagers become official only when the event meets the applicable duration thresholds or official completion criteria. Wagers placed on events that fail to reach official status per these rules may be voided unless a sport-specific provision states otherwise.

  • American Football (Pro) and College Football: An event becomes official after 55 minutes of play. Team totals for the second half include overtime; fourth-quarter lines do not include overtime unless specified otherwise.
  • Basketball: For all competitions other than the NBA, action requires a minimum of 35 minutes of play. NBA games are official after 43 minutes of play. Second-half and overtime periods are included where the rule specifies; all overtime periods count toward action for relevant bets.
  • Baseball: A game is official after 5 completed innings (4.5 innings if the home team is ahead). Money Line, Run Line and Totals may rely on the last full inning unless otherwise stated. For Run Lines and Totals, wagers are typically offered with a 20-cent line; listed pitcher and pitching-change rules may affect action. If a game is suspended or called, the final wagering status is determined by the last complete inning unless a later development alters the outcome per official scoring rules.
  • Hockey: Official after 55 minutes of play. Wagers may be placed on Money Line, Puck Line and Total; if the game is decided in overtime or a shootout, the overtime goal is attributed to the winning team for purposes of wagering where applicable.
  • Soccer: If a match is suspended before full-time and is not completed on the same day, wagers on the match outcome are void and refunded. This applies to standard match bets, goal lines, money lines and totals unless a different rule is stated for a given market.
  • Tennis, Golf, Auto Racing, MMA/UFC and Boxing: Not subject to the standard official-time thresholds described above; outcomes are determined by the governing body’s official results or the event’s official publication. Such sports may have separate provisions elsewhere in these Rules.

In all sports, results sources are the event’s official website or an otherwise recognized official results publication. If an official source is not available, Xhjili will rely on a mutually accepted authoritative source. Las Vegas rules apply to wagers not covered by these Rules.

Postponement, Suspension and Cancellations

If an Event is postponed or rescheduled, the wager may be No Action unless the sport-specific provisions state otherwise. The following principles apply unless explicitly overridden by a sport-specific rule.

  • General: Wagers are void if the Event is postponed, rescheduled or otherwise altered in a manner that prevents completion on the originally scheduled date, with limited exceptions for sports where post-adjustment action is expressly allowed.
  • Suspensions: If an Event is suspended and not completed on the same wagering day, wagers on the outcome are void unless the market specifies otherwise. Wagers tied to later completed outcomes remain subject to the final official result.
  • Cheating and Bad Line: Xhjili may cancel any wager if the posted line is clearly erroneous or if there is evidence of cheating, attempted hacking, or manipulation.
  • Wrong Matchups and Incorrect Entries: Bets placed on incorrect matchups or with incorrect participant data may be canceled if the error cannot be corrected.

Result Sources and Disputes

Results for all wagers are determined by the official results of the event. Where an official result is unavailable, Xhjili will determine results using a recognized, primary results source. In the event of a discrepancy between sources, Xhjili’s determination shall prevail, subject to these Rules. Any dispute regarding a wager must be raised within the designated dispute window and may require supporting documentation.

General Wager Rules and Market Integrity

  • No Parlay/Combination Restrictions: Xhjili does not accept Parlays or Round Robins that combine multiple wagers on the same game’s Total and Run Line markets. Bets placed in such combinations may be canceled.
  • Action and Time of Finality: Bets are subject to completion and finality rules. Bets may be declared No Action if final outcomes can be determined solely from the score and a rule requires it, or if a game is canceled before action is established.
  • Incorrect Matchups: Any matchup posted incorrectly may be canceled and re-seeded, with wagers moved to the correct market where applicable.
  • Prohibited Conduct: Any attempt to cheat, hack or manipulate results will result in immediate action, including wager cancellations and potential account termination.

Sport-Specific Provisions

  • Football (American and College): See Timing section for official thresholds. For multi-market bets (e.g., second-half totals, first-half results), overtime is included where the market specifies. Unfinished games or games that do not reach official status may be No Action.
  • Basketball: In non-NBA markets, action requires a minimum period of play; NBA markets require a longer period. Double-result pools and margin-of-victory pools typically include overtime unless the market excludes it.
  • Baseball: Markets exist for Money Line, Run Line and Totals. Action on Run Lines and Totals requires the game to reach the minimum innings. Pitching changes may affect price and action. No action applies if both starting pitchers do not appear or fail to throw at least one pitch.
  • Hockey: Markets include Money Line, Puck Line and Total. Overtime goals count for any overtime-enabled markets.
  • Soccer: Match outcomes may be void if suspended and not completed on the same day. Other markets follow standard scoring rules as per the event’s governing body.
  • Tennis, Golf, Auto Racing, MMA/UFC and Boxing: Respective governing bodies’ official results govern outcomes for all markets. Delays or rescheduling do not automatically trigger No Action unless stated for a given market.
